Welcome to the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival

Join Us April 25 - 28, 2013

pancake stackThe Festival is held the last full week of April each year. Mark your calendar for a fun-filled weekend April 25th through the 28th. During Syrup Festival week there are numerous garage & yard sales. Trailer registration begins Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Thursday night is our annual Carnival "Buddy Nite". We start the Carnival with buy one ride band and get a second ride band for half price. The Carnival rides open at 5:00 p.m.

We look forward to celebrating the our 55th Annual Maple Syrup Festival with you!  The Village of Shepherd is located West of US 127 between Alma/St. Louis to the South and Mt. Pleasant to the North. Google Map.

Little Red School House Museum

Chippewa River School District Little Red School House MuseumVisit the Chippewa School District Little Red School House Museum while you're enjoying yourself at the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival. Inside you will be transported back in time to experience how much simpler school used to be.

This little school house from 1874 has some of the original desks, pot belly stove and lesson books as well as other historic memorabilia from the period.

The museum is open from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday during the Syrup Festival.

The museum is located by the current Shepherd Middle School and the outdoor craft booths.
